Okay, so I created my databases, I added my gameservers IP to the remote mysql, I've changed the database and config for sourcebans on my game server, and still nothing! Sourcebans is installed, but my server doesn't show up, I can't add or edit admins, and I'm getting frustrated. I contacted my web host to make sure the ports 27015 were open going in and out, and I'm about to lose my mind. Heres my console

Alright I've had this problem in the past, but the guy that usually helps me seems to be off on vacation or something.
I'm sorry if there's a thread already about this, but I'm incredibly busy and don't really know how to fix the current problem (hence coming here) and would like a quick fix.

Our clan recently changed server IPs, so we have had the new server IP working fine lately...
BUT. Once I removed the old server from our server list, the in-game bans aren't communicating with the web panel. And vice versa...

If someone could either help me with a quick tutorial or something on how to fix it I would very much appreciate it.

Also, this would be something I would suggest looking into fixing as this is a bug obviously, and causes a lot of problems...

Server List Inoperable

I have installed SB 1.4.6 on a CentOS 5 server (No SELinux) with PHP 5.3.2. I added groups and admins ok, but when I started to add servers, the main content area on the server list and add server pages are blank. I added a server manually via phpmyadmin directly to the database and setup the group relations in their tables. I can see one server listed in the count on the admin panel home, but the server list is still blank logged in or not.

I enabled the developer setting in the config.php to try and get you some useful debugging info, and with that setting enabled, every page is completely blank, no header or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, recently the following error started to occur. When I try to add an admin or a ban, an eror window appears with this error:

There are some errors in your input. Please correct them. => and then a red text "Please enter a valid STEAM id." appears below the ID blank space.
Im 100% sure that Im using the correct steam id, since Im copy/pasting it directly from either hlsw or my stat page.

So my question is what is causing this and how can I fix it?

i have no longer any sourcebans.log's

month ago the sourcebans.log was properly written in the ./sourcemod/logs/ directory

but now no sourcebans.log comes up

using vers. 1.4.5

where is the fault i make ?

I seriously would love it if you could add some code to Sourcemods to support global gagging and muting as the commtools for sourcemod the plugin works fine just the web end part of it seems to give one error after another when using it on a website for me (Yes tried the fixes still has issues)... Also since my site got deleted twice using the 5.1 version of AMXBANS would be nice if you could support the half life one servers as well but no biggy knowing how anything asked here is a lot unless someone has the time to mess with it but either way it would server a huge function as your coding skills here are quite superior to most I have seen...

SourceBans Web Admin not working properly

My sourcebans web admin is not working properly. When you go to kick or ban a player from the sourcebans website, it will load the wrong player's information and it will kick or ban the wrong person. For example, when I try to ban someone from the website and I right click on his name and select ban and then it says loading player info, but it loads the wrong person everytime. It always selects the person on the bottom of the list.

It just started doing this on Feb 23rd. I even reinstalled sourcebans and it still does not work right. My in-game admin is fine, it is just this:

What is the ETA for Sourcebans 2.0 so I know if its worth installing 1.4.6 if the 2.0 release is in around a week - 4 weeks

Major Smarty Errors

EDIT: For some reason, it started working. Absolutely nothing changed, so I have no idea what the problem was.

I just updated from 1.4.4 which worked fine. After I upgraded, everything is broken. I did look at the code to debug it, the require_once's have the correct file and path (ran file_exists). I also ran function_exists right after the line for the require_once's and they returned 'false'. If I changed it to include, it worked (require & include_once didn't work), but then I just got stopped by the same error in another file. As you can tell from the errors, I am running Windows Server 2003 with IIS 6.0 as a web server.

admin_groups overriding.

Hi everyone. How to make SB function normally and won't let it override admin_groups.cfg? It just cleans it up and i wanna make special groups for VIP players which allows only a few certain commands to use (for example sm_kick enables lots of other plugins commands, which i don't want my players to use, so i want to make only a few commands.

P.S. i want all functions of SB working, i mean showing which administrator has banned the user and everything.

Hello and sorry if my English is not so good

I really hope there is a solution to my problem, can not find any topics that can solve my problem.
Thought there was many more people who sought a solution as i do.

We am using Sourcemod as our main admin tool, but loves some of the details in mani admin we like to keep so we had to keep the mani admin in.
We are running 5 servers and normal use sum.smx to submit new admins and globalbans to our servers, from here both mani admin and sourcemod rights runs no .cfg or .txt files.
Now we want to use sourcebans instead of sum.smx but is there a way/plugin so we can keep the admin rights from mani admin together with sourcebans.
Ressons is be course some of the details in mani admin we like to keep.
All rights to mani admin and sourcemod coming from the mysql dabase who belong with sum.smx
Manimod is installed on the server and is intended only for votemaps, sounds and event scripts fault.

Hi,

One of the functions i like inside sourcebans is that you can click on servers and then select "admins" this will give you a list of admins for that particular server and even who is online at the moment.
I would like to include this sort of webpage on our own website so that admins can check quickly who the other admins are and if they are online. Now i know a little bit of php but all those functions just blow me away

So in my case i would have "http://sourcebans/index.php?p=admin&c=servers&o=admincheck&id=70"
Does anybody have a example say with a "showadmins.php" script that can do the same but then with all the things needed for it to run? (this would not need a login to show then)

Because i know all the pages are dynamicly build, so just a simple hello world -> here is the list of admins of server x would be sufficient.

Hope i am clear in this all

See, my password starts and ends with an @.

"@daf2321k3afj@" for example. So we take that....

mysql://root:@skdajb@@10.176.7.99:3306/sourcebans_sb

Which then assumes no password, and that the host is skdajb@@10.176.7.99

Obviously; this is not the case. Now, I know what the problem is, but I can't figure out how to change your code to make it work. Help?

I am having a issue with either sourcebans, sourcemod itself, or the mySql server or our game server.

When I startup the game server we get this error in our sourcebans.log file...

The SQL database is located on a remote machine, it is running cPanel. I have allowed the game server IP to connect.
I have also tried to telnet from the gameserver terminal to the webserver. It connects fine using port 3306. The SQL Database and the web install of sourcebans is on the same machine the only thing that is not is the GAME server itself.

I have been trying to get this figured out for days now with no luck.

sourcebans problem

i have a little problem. I got one css server using sourcebans and few tf2 servers. Only thing is that some of them are using the same but with a different port and i heard that is the problem, you can't have more then 1 port on 1 ip.

Is there a way to correct this?

Is there any way to make it banned by some admin, who wasn't added instead of console?

Hi everyone. This admin wasn't added and he has banned a lot of people. Now 'v added him to admin list in the website. (he's actions are logged with some admin logger plugin by the way) is there any way to tell the website, that those people were banned by that guy instead of console?

Sourcebans connection issue MySQL

So i have just upgraded to the newest sourcebans, im setting up all from the bottom and it looks ok... but, when i started the test servers, i had som issues with the mysql connection between the server plugin and mysql.

Before i describe the problem i will tell u about my servers and the way it is set up.

I have 3 server machines, one web and mysql server and two css servers, these three is physical, they are actual machines. They all run ubuntu 8.10 32 bit.
All counter strike servers run Metamod 1.8 and sourcemod 1.3.1 and the test servers runs 1.4.6 of sourcebans.

The problem is that when i start the test server and it tries to connect to the mysql server it prints out the error:

L 02/22/2010 - 22:01:17: [sourcebans.smx] Database failure: [1130]: Host 'cpe-66-66-66-100.rochester.res.rr.com' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

The problem i see in this error is the host it tries to connect to.

The ips of my three phys servers are:
web & mysql: 66.66.66.82
css1: 66.66.66.96
css2: 66.66.66.100

this means that the error is comming from sourcebans, who tries to connect to a local mysql server on its own server. the error is the same on 66.66.66.96 computer.

Anyone know what i have to do to fix this?

Disconnects But Doesnt Reconnect

I have been running Sourcebans forever but lately when it cannot connect to my database it just disables all admins leaving my admins and donators without access. Using sm_rehash fixes it for the current map but once the map changes everyone is disabled again. I have to reload the sourcebans plugin to fix it until it disconnects again. Is there any fix to this, I always thought Sourcebans saved a buckup admins.cfg so it would load that when it cannot connect.

IE8 & functions / Add bans issues

Hi, i'm using Sourcebans since 1 week but i got 2 big problems with it, like working in the Webpanel with IE-8, if i try to unban someone, an error appears and the i get forwarded to a blank site like "Couldn't find Website"

For example:

On Dashboard, i click on someones nick who's already banned, then i'll get forwarded to the tab Banlist, there i mark the banned user and choose "unban" in actions, then a i've to type a comment, i confirm and then appears the error message what is in german language, i trenslate (Couldn't open the Website "http://sourcebans.royal-elite.eu/index.php?p=banlist")

This problem coming up when i've done some functions what is working with the banlist, like banning someone, over webpanel or unban, or deleting.

Next problem is that, i've banned today some players on my gameserver but they dosn't appear in the sourcebanslist, 1 for aimbot the other one for TK.

Edit:
to problem 1, i tried it with IE 7 and firefox 3.6 with firefox it works well.
to problem 2, the latest bans doesn't appear in the banlist, with IE 7 and firefox 3.6, whats wrong ?
Can u guys help me ?

Wishing to use SB for Admin Management

I'm really hoping to use Sourcebans for my CSS servers Admin Management. But it's just not working.

Let me get this out: MY SOURCE BANS WORKS FINE. It's just that it runs off of admin_simple rather than the sourcebans. If I change the name of admins simple, there are no admins.

WHMCS or Paypal Intergration

I've been searching around for a WHMCS plug-in that can auto add/remove admins from sourcebans once they pay/don't pay. However my search showed no results, so I come here & ask if there is any type of way or any plug-in that can do this.
