website small "error"
30 April 2010 - 01:29 PM
On http://www.sourcebans.net/ , there is a piece of source code with the following text:
<script type="text/javascript">FB.init("3dfed3f2f66c447f93e6f21382b0e75b");</script><script type="text/javascript" src="//home/sourcebans/files/googleanalytics/ga.js?L"></script>
Funny enough i actually have a server at home called "Home" , so the //home gets forwarded to my home machine and i get a popup (because i have userid/pwd on it)
So if you could remove the double // on that line that would be nice (if not fine too, but just metioning it) -
seperate admin list
27 February 2010 - 02:23 AM
Hi,
One of the functions i like inside sourcebans is that you can click on servers and then select "admins" this will give you a list of admins for that particular server and even who is online at the moment.
I would like to include this sort of webpage on our own website so that admins can check quickly who the other admins are and if they are online. Now i know a little bit of php but all those functions just blow me away
So in my case i would have "http://sourcebans/index.php?p=admin&c=servers&o=admincheck&id=70"
Does anybody have a example say with a "showadmins.php" script that can do the same but then with all the things needed for it to run? (this would not need a login to show then)
Because i know all the pages are dynamicly build, so just a simple hello world -> here is the list of admins of server x would be sufficient.
Hope i am clear in this all
Thanks,

adding extra field in hlstats_Players
06 January 2010 - 05:06 PM
Hi,
Like the topic states, adding a extra field in hlstats_Players, is this possible without breaking any other code? You know the:
playerId last_event connection_time lastName lastAddress city etc etc
Trying to get the "point" system we have (when users play on our servers) added in the sql so i can perhaps show it on the website too. (i am no expert, just fooling around seeing what i can do)
Thanks,
Eric
p.s while looking around in the hlstats_Playeruniqueids i notice that sometimes the uniqueid is the name of the user and not the steamid:
example:
105637 1:3738683 tf2all NULL
105638 BlueberryHaze tf2all NULL
105639 0:29520551 tf2all NULL -
hlstats-resolve.pl taking loads of cpu?
06 January 2010 - 12:10 PM
Hi,
I see that my mysql daemon is running at 100% maybe more from time to time, this is when i also still see "hlstats-resolve.pl" resolv running. When i kill that process my mysql load is back to normal.
The resolve is only ment for well .. resolving? why is it taking so much cpu? I do the lookup via the database, but i know you can also use GEO:IP and such but if its only doing the lookups..
When a user is looked up, i assume it skips it the next run? Also all the query's it does for database for the country's would be cached (since its a small table)
How can i improve this? Do i have to use GEO:IP instead of database lookups? Since 100% cpu for some country lookups is silly.

awards crontab time?
07 December 2009 - 06:35 PM
Just a quick question, i noticed that if you followed the install guide for linux that you can run the awards around 23:50 or something, but that will only make awards for the day before that.
So that would create awards for day 5 while we are in day 7 for instance. I've seen this on other "sites" out there too, that followed it exactly.
Setting this cronjob at 00:05 fixed it, but is this the right course of action?
