Welcome to the Nuclear Dawn Wiki!
The Third World War wiped the slate clean with the wonders and marvels of mankind’s greatest achievements, and reduced the world we know to crumbling ash and ruin. In 2049, the war still rages on, as the tattered remnants of humanity flock either to the blue flag of the Consortium, or to the red standards of The Empire.
Nuclear Dawn is:
- Two factions: The Empire and the Consortium have completely separate base-building paradigms.
- RTS commander: Produce structures, research advanced technologies, unleash devastating strikes on the enemy, and lead your team to victory as a RTS Commander.
- Four classes: Each faction has four classes with various kit load outs, totalling over three dozen weapons.
- Squad up: Squad-based 32 player full warfare battle mode.
- Seven maps: Travel across the largest, most detailed maps built in Source multiplayer to date.
- Advanced Weaponry: As a Commander, judiciously dispense healing to your troops, and death to your enemies, by managing your advanced Abilities and Resources.
- Stats and Unlocks: 60 ranks, 12 unlocks for each weapon, achievements, gizmos and more.
- SDK: Nuclear Dawn Software Development Kit is available for the community to be able to create custom maps, etc.
- Source Powered: Based on the L4D2 engine and modified to bring you the ultimate online battle experience.
- Steam Powered: Available for both Mac and PC through Steamplay with Steam Cloud support.
The Studio
InterWave Studios, the studio behind Nuclear Dawn, is a game development company. This Wiki is built by and for all users on the Nuclear Dawn gaming community. Because the site is a Wiki, any member can edit the site's content simply by clicking the 'edit' tab near the top of any page. Whether you have a short contribution or would like to add whole new sections, please treat this site as an open forum.
This site will hopefully remain:
- The definitive and the most comprehensive source of information concerning everything Nuclear Dawn.
- A discussion platform on which members cover any and all ideas related to game development and Nuclear Dawn.
